There are Hidden Mickey’s all over Disneyland. Some are so tiny, they’re almost impossible to spot, and some are so HUGE they’re also impossible to spot. In fact, you probably wouldn’t even know you’re walking right through the *largest* Hidden Mickey in Disneyland, because it’s almost invisible from ground level.
The biggest hidden Mickey in Disneyland
If you ever headed over to Disneyland by walking up Katella Avenue and then turned right onto Disneyland Drive, you probably walked right through the largest hidden Mickey in the entire Disneyland Resort. It’s so large, that it’s really only visible from the air.
You can get the feeling for what I’m talking about by taking a look at this view of ONE-HALF of the hidden Mickey from the Paradise Pier Hotel.
It’s on the way to The Grand Californian Hotel and Downtown Disney. Here’s another view (below) of exactly where this giant Hidden Mickey is located.
The largest Hidden Mickey – is somewhere else?
While this Hidden Mickey holds the record for the biggest in the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, there’s an even larger one, if you can believe it. Let’s cross the country and travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. There, the fine Disney people have built an enormous solar panel “farm” near Epcot. And, yes, this solar farm has been shaped into a very large Hidden Mickey visible only from the air.
Bonus trivia: is there an even larger Disney solar farm?
The folks at Walt Disney World have constructed a new and EVEN LARGER solar panel farm in Florida – this time near the Animal Kingdom. It is so incredibly huge that it can provide the energy to power two of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks. (Ok, it’s not in the shape of a Hidden Mickey, but this enormous project, built on 270 acres and containing 500,000 solar panels can produce 50 megawatts of electricity.)
